This is our "Koppar Glass Kollection" ~ my little exploration with copper foil and different combinations and layers of glass while making each bead. An alchemy adventure.
Hence the name... "koppar" is Swedish for copper.
The glass beads are made by hand by manipulating soda-lime glass rods in a 4,000 degree flame until molten using a torch, fuming the copper foil to the glass, and then annealing it in a kiln over-night.
This collection, appropriately, combines the flame-worked glass beads in handcrafted pieces with copper wire work as well as Japanese glass seed beads.
Each piece is entirely unique and one-of-a-kind and made by these hands.
Glass. Copper foil. Copper wire. Leather. Waxed linen.
